A pretty wild country…

Or so it would seem:

There are over 500 wolves and 130 lynx in Poland.

Towards the end of 2007 in the Polish part of Białowieża Primeval Forest, there were 439 bison living in the wild.

25 species of bats in Poland.

There are over 100 bears in Bieszczady.

But all these poor animals are easily outnumbered by foreign tourists of whom 66 million have visited the country in 2007…

(Man, all those people at the Polish Press Agency ever do is count animals… and tourists )
