At least as good as the BBC interview I linked to in my previous post is the one by Jessica Duchen (apparently, she talked to Zimerman this April, or thereabouts). ). I find three things especially exciting about these two interviews: 1) Zimerman’s plan to return to Lutosławski’s Piano Concerto to mark the 20th anniversary of that piece (how time flies!), 2) his plan to finally record a Szymanowski recital, 3) and a disc of Chopin sonatas!
Anyone else excited by these prospects?
